Workers can see how much money is in their EPF Passbook by using their EPF account. They can do this through a missed call, by sending an SMS, or by using the Umang app. They can also check it on the EPFO portal with their UAN number.

Steps to Check Your PF Balance with Your UAN Number

Employees who want to check their EPF account balance using their UAN number can do so by following the steps below:

  • The person should first visit the official website of EPFO.
  • After that, just click on “Our Services” on the homepage.
  • Following that, click on the option for “For Employees.”

  • Now, the worker has to select “Member Passbook
  • A new page will appear on the employee’s screen. On this page, type in your UAN number, password, and the captcha code. Once you’ve entered this information, click on “Sign In.”

  • After that, a new page will appear on your screen. You’ll find some basic information about your job there. On that page, choose your current member ID.
  • After you pick the member ID, you’ll see two choices on your screen. Just click on “View Passbook.”

  • Now, the employee’s passbook will open on the screen. At this point, the employee can check their EPF passbook balance.

  • Here, you can see how much money is in the employee’s EPF account, and pension account, and a breakdown of what the company contributed.

To find out your EPF balance, send a text message from your registered mobile number to 7738299899. Just type ‘EPFO UAN’ and your preferred language code, like ‘EPFO UAN ENG’ for English.

The system can understand and use many languages like Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Hindi, and English. When you send a text message (SMS), the details of your EPF balance will quickly be sent to your mobile number.

Guide to Checking EPF Balance via the UMANG App

Workers can check their EPF balance using the Umang application. Just follow these steps to do it with the Umang App:

  • First download the UMANG APP from the Play Store.

  • Thereafter, open the app.
  • Now, the worker needs to go to the search bar and type “EPFO” to find what they’re looking for.
  • Now, the worker will see the choice to “View Passbook.” Please click on this option.

Your passbook will now appear on your screen. It shows a detailed summary of the money deposited into the employee’s account.
